Welcome to the Top of Ohio Radio Control Squadron A.M.A. Chapter # 1051.

The Top of Ohio Radio Control Squadron is a model airplane club dedicated to building and flying radio controlled model airplanes and radio controlled helicopters. The club is based in Quincy, Ohio. The club flies at S and S airfield.

The club, meets on the first Thursday of each month. Visitors are always welcome. The meeting location varies so check for current meeting schedule and location.

Learning to fly RC airplanes is challenging and fun. Sometimes airplanes crash or are damaged. This is a common occurrence in this hobby. We are here to help you, but I would be lying if I told you nobody crashes an airplane learning to fly. Fortunately, in most of them the airplane only has minor damage, but there is some risk that is unavoidable. We encourage anyone who is interested in the hobby to stop out at the field and see for themselves what they are missing.

Flight instruction is available and we encourage people interested in remote controlled aviation to consider the use of an instructor to guide them through the initial pre-flight preparation and their initial flights. The club provides insured Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) RC instructor pilots free of charge to prospective club members. See the Flight instruction page for more details.
